2000

The web was the new frontier to make life better, and more fun. So we launched LifeTips, offering 120,000 tips we crafted with hundreds of freelance writers, attracting one million readers and fans.

2005

Forward-thinking companies were joining the content marketing revolution. But publishing high-quality content and measuring performance was challenging. So we launch a content marketing agency that delivered on the needs.

2010

The agency business grew like crazy, attracting 100+ big name brands. But small businesses and agencies also had big needs. So we launched WriterAccess to help everyone grow business organically-- the content marketing way!

2010

To attract the best freelance talent, we offered(and offer) the best pay rates, with full transparency. Talent earn 70% on every project, with 30% going to WriterAccess to keep the growth going and projects flowing.

2011

Within a year, WriterAccess grew like crazy, so we kept investing in the platform and software to make it easier and faster to find writers, place orders and manage the workflow.

2012

We deployed lots of ideas for betterment to stand out from the pack of competitors, including Voice Recordings on orders and Conferences Calling service to connect directly with freelancers.

2013

Tracking performance was top of mind for many customers, so we added Content Analytics to the platform to measure how content performs on the web.

2014

Translation service seemed like an obvious expansion, helping world-class customers communicate around the world. It took about 4 months of workflow development to cross that off the list.

2015

We launched our first Content Marketing Conference to gather with customers, writers, and fans to learn what's new and what's next with the content marketing revolution.

2015

We helped take our marketplace to the next level by introducing higher rates for higher quality work, and content strategy support with built-in creative briefs, customer journey maps and more.

2015

Pinpointing the perfect writer for a project is challenging, so we launched Writing Style Contests for competitive matchmaking that saves both customers and writers time.

2016

Year two of the Content Marketing Conference more than doubled attendance thanks to 40 speakers and four keynotes that truly wowed with fresh tactics and advice.

2016

Cumulative growth of 200% earned a spot on the INC 5000 list for the third year in a row, which is pretty remarkable given we’re 100% bootstrapped from the get-go.

2017

Migrating to SaaS required investment in advanced software for research, planning and content distribution to save customers time and money, so we made that happen.

2017

Sporting the INC 5000 list for the fourth year in a row was cool, but plans are even more grand with psychometric matchmaking and the expansion of an influencer marketplace.

2018

We became an Inc. 5000 Honoree (five times!), sporting a three-year growth of 59%, all organically without even a smidge of private or VC funding.

2019

Our SaaS membership revenue grew 4X in just one year, confirming that our software and services have a strong lifetime value to customers and fans.
